A 1997 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jennifer taught high school for two years before attending Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. After graduating in 2002, she began her legal career in residential real estate closings. Jennifer soon entered the real estate title insurance world, helping start Landmark Settlement & Title in August of 2014.
Jennifer has always loved the real estate and title insurance business and she is excited to have seen so much consistent growth and success for Landmark since its inception. Even so, Jennifer believes there is still a great opportunity in Birmingham to serve the clients in our industry with a better closing and title experience and a more efficient closing and title process. Landmark has focused on this goal from the beginning and we are constantly looking for ways to improve and to grow our business through providing exceptional customer service.

With twenty plus years in the title and closing industry, Janie is experienced in all phases of closings. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding documentation preparation and coordination between agents, lenders, buyers and sellers. Her longstanding relationships with outside vendors such as municipalities, pest inspectors, surveyors, etc., help Janie facilitate a smooth transition from contract to closing.

Title and Escrow Officer

Martin Clifton is Manager of title and closing operations in our Landmark Settlement & Title Andalusia office. Martin was born and raised in Andalusia before graduating from the University of Alabama. He is a qualified & results oriented financial professional with over 15 years of management, customer service, banking & lending experience. Martin’s previous banking & lending experience allowed him to gain valuable knowledge while overseeing the entire mortgage process including application, origination, underwriting and closing.

Martin not only brings a wealth of experience and talent, but a desire to make sure that all of his customers have a successful transaction. He loves going “above and beyond” for his clients and that has gone a long way to building lifelong business relationships with his clients.
